Do I need a wedding planner?

On average, it takes 250 – 500 hours to plan a wedding so it goes without saying having a professional wedding planner will save you time!

A professional UK wedding planner will not only save you time, but money too. Often couples will book a wedding planner after sourcing their venue, marquee and a few key suppliers before realising they may need some help! Often our clients will approach us feeling overwhelmed and sometimes, after making a few decisions which require additional expenditure further down the line.

Having a professional wedding planner onboard at the early stages of planning will ensure you book the best suppliers for you and your budget the first time round and we can get from A -> B quicker!

By choosing Norfolk wedding planners Hardesty Event Design, we will ensure all initial quotes sent from suppliers will include everything you need from the beginning of the process, ensuring you (and your suppliers!) are able to budget manage appropriately and plan your wedding day smoothly, in a time efficient manner!

 Hardesty Event Design as your professional UK wedding planners will fine tune your ideas curating a luxury wedding design reflecting your personalities and ideas. We will work together to create not only a wedding which looks incredible, but feels incredible too. Having someone to discuss your ideas, and essentially, make it happen for you, offering advice along the way, will in turn, relieve the stress off the two of you throughout your engagement.

This leaves you to focus on the necessities – your relationship, your engagement and all the fun bits of planning a wedding!

We're getting married in the UK but we live abroad! Are you still able to assist?

Absolutely! Hardesty Event Design have bases in Norwich, Norfolk and London however, over the years I have planned weddings for couples across the Globe. Based in Dubai, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and all over Europe. We are well equipped to plan virtually with you and are quite used to meeting family members & friends on your behalf to help you along the way if desired!

With East of England becoming an increasingly popular destination for UK destination weddings, we have a base in London too and therefore we regularly travel to London to meet our oversees clients and London based clients for meetings and consultations too.

We've loved planning our wedding so far so we don't want to feel we are not involved.. How would this work?

The short answer – you can be involved as much, or as little as you would like!

As your professional UK wedding planner, I am always really conscious in ensuring all my couples feel they are in control of their day, and the decisions made. Some couples like to be more involved than others and I will work with you to ensure the balance is right for you. Often I have couples who need to balance wedding planning with busy careers, and we will work together to ensure we avoid busy times of the year for planning if this is the case. You will have access to our online planning portal in which includes  To Do lists, and timelines to ensure you have access to all of our planning tools throughout your engagement. 

That being said, if our full planning service doesn’t quite feel right for you, we offer bespoke wedding planning or  Planning Power Hours if you’d prefer to take on the full responsibility yourself however would still love some professional guidance throughout your engagement!

It’s possible to book as many hours, or as little as you would like – this can be managed by you. Once the hours are purchased, you will have access to our online calendar and can schedule an Hour when works for you!

Often the Planning Power hours are paired perfectly with the Wedding Day Management service as your special day gets closer.

How have you put together your list of recommended suppliers?

I have worked within the events and weddings industry in Norwich, Norfolk since 2012 and therefore have built an extensive list of recommended suppliers across East Anglia and beyond over the last decade, fine tuning and tweaking along the way.

All suppliers recommended to you are done so upon merit and of the feeling they are best suited for your Brief.

I will recommend different suppliers to different couples, based on their budget, needs and style.

We have our venue booked however it’s not the venue HED manages, are we still able to book you as our wedding planner?

In short – absolutely!

Our full and partial wedding planning services are available to couples getting married across the UK as well as to couples getting married at venues ran and managed by Hardesty Event Design.

However, due to this, our availability for planning can be limited and therefore it’s worth checking availability for your wedding date as soon as possible.

Will you be there on our wedding day?

Absolutely! A member of our team will always be onsite on your wedding day to ensure everything goes ahead without a hitch.

If you have booked one of our full wedding planning services, I will personally be onsite on your wedding day. After carefully planning and designing your wedding over a number of months, I love nothing more than seeing all the hard work and planning come together on the day! 

 

Which areas of the UK do you plan weddings?

We are based in Norwich, Norfolk and therefore the majority of our weddings are for UK and oversees clients across the East of England, mainly in Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire or Cambridgeshire.

With East of England becoming an increasingly popular destination for UK destination weddings, we have a base in London too and therefore we regularly travel to London to meet our oversees clients and London based clients for meetings and consultations too.

How much do UK wedding planners cost?

The fees for professional wedding planners really varies however there is an old age saying which ties in nicely with this – you get what you pay for – there are certainly wedding planners who are cheaper than Hardesty Event Design, and of course, some who more expensive too!

In broad terms, the cost can vary depending on a number of factors; how far into the wedding planning stage you are, how experienced the professional wedding planner is, how complex your wedding plans are and how much wedding planning assistance and guidance you would like!

The majority of UK wedding planners work on a basis of 12-15% of the overall wedding spend / budget and will charge a minimum fee. Depending on the year, location and experience, these minimum fees will vary as explained above. Do you require a deposit & offer a payment plan?

Yes. Our non-refundable deposits vary depending on the planning service you have booked and a payment plan is always offered. Once you have met with one of our wedding planners, a bespoke proposal will be emailed over to you and this includes a breakdown of the payments for our services.

All payments for services are made before your wedding date.

Throughout the planning of your wedding, we’ll probably talk more than you will with some friends, so it’s important to get a feel for each other and ensure we’re a great match! 

Following our consultation, we will create a detailed, bespoke proposal, which will contain notes from your consultation, a breakdown of the services discussed and our payment plan.

Do you have the relevant insurances required?

Yes, we am fully covered by public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance.

Do you arrange styled shoots and collaborations with other wedding industry suppliers?

Absolutely!
