Lucy and Jack's mid-summer wedding celebration saw a full weekend of festivities at a country estate in Suffolk in July. ⁠

Welcoming their guests on the Friday evening for pre-wedding drinks, dinner and games in the Hall.⁠

With their wedding being a UK destination wedding, with guests travelling across the UK and worldwide for the wedding, it was a fantastic opportunity to relax and ease into the occasion. ⁠

Lucy and Jack's wedding celebrations were on the first weekend in July, and what a time was had!⁠
⁠
I spent a year planning, designing and coordinating their wedding weekend with them, and we had so much fun along the way! I'm so grateful they chose to trust me with these moments. It felt like an honour to be part of it at the time, and looking back through these images now, even more so!⁠

Lucy and Jack had already booked their venue, photographer, hair stylist, make-up artist and florist when they onboarded me. They knew they'd made a start on the planning but were very aware there were more decisions to come! - To which they still can't quite believe how many more decisions came.. "endless".⁠
⁠
They knew they didn't have the time to plan a wedding to the level they wanted, and they wanted to ensure they enjoyed every moment of the planning process and their engagement. ⁠
⁠
They wanted their own ideas to be taken, elevated and executed. ⁠
⁠
They wanted to feel in control, but with the knowledge someone was taking care of it all. ⁠
⁠
They wanted to feel relaxed, have fun and feel supported. ⁠
⁠
They wanted to feel reassured they were choosing the right suppliers and making the "right" decisions.⁠
⁠
They wanted to know they were in safe hands with the local knowledge of a planner from the area and someone with 14 years experience in the industry. ⁠

An incredible entrance for Tanya and Sam at @voewood | @voewoodweddings on Saturday! It’s moments like these that genuinely remind me why I adore everything I’ve built here at HED (@hardestyeventdesign)🥹
Moments before, we were moving parasol bases from ceremony to reception, lighting candles, liaising with the AV team, the photographer, and the caterers to ensure all was ready for this moment. Moving quick, moving fast. It was hot, and we were sweaty and exhausted.
BUT, none of it mattered. Not in this incredible moment.
I won’t lie to you, as I stood back and took in the pure joy and love in this moment, I fought back tears & a golf ball to the throat - I was choked.
Not because of the actions it took to make it happen.
But because I knew we’d done it.
We had absolutely smashed it, and I knew it was everything Tanya and Sam had imagined for that moment 🥹
We’d done it, for Tanya & Sam, for their families, for their guests. This incredible, immersive, joyful moment which they’ll remember forever 🥹
It’s moments like this which keep us going through the heatwaves, the heavy lifting, the long long hours, the 13+hrs on our feet.
